Nicole Estelle Faria (born 9 February 1990)) is an Indian model from Bangalore and beauty pageant titleholder who won the titles of Femina Miss India Earth 2010 and Miss Earth 2010. Faria is the first woman from India to win Miss Earth.

Faria has been in the modeling business since 2005. She has posed for fashion magazines like Elle, Cosmopolitan, Vogue among others. She has also walked the ramp in the Lakme Fashion Week, Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week, and Colombo Fashion Week.[1][2]
In November 2010, Faria was featured in a television commercial on air by the HP Personal Systems for its snap-on cover notebooks, called "The Computer is Personal Again" campaign.[3]
Faria is set to enter show business as part of her prizes in winning Femina Miss Earth India 2010. She will be managed by Shoot Talent Management, a division of Bennett, Coleman & Co. Ltd.(BCCL) – India's premier media house, with KWAN – India's leading entertainment and marketing company.[4]
After winning Miss Earth 2010 in Nha Trang, Vietnam, Faria traveled to Thailand in December 2010.
In January 2011, she made in the list of Times' 50 Most Desirable Men and Women of 2010 and was ranked number 10 in the women's category.[5]
She graced the fashion show organized by the Cotton Council International, the producer of one of the most-talked-about TV reality shows in India called Let's Design, which was held in Bangalore in February 2011.[6]
On March 25, 2011, Faria hosted a musical fest organized by Gitanjali Lifestyle as part of the closing of the prestigious convention on all things media and entertainment FICCI FRAMES 2011 held in Mumbai, India.[7]
In April 2011, she graced the "India Cyclothon – Mumbai 2011", the largest mass mobilization cycling event in Mumbai, which intended to promote a greener and cleaner tomorrow.[8][9][10]
The Round Table India conferred Faria with the Pride of Karnataka Award on May 6, 2011 for putting India back on the beauty map by winning Miss Earth 2010 crown.[11][12]
Faria traveled to the United States on the last week of May 2011 and met with New York City's crème de la crème, including members of the Filipino American and Indian American communities. She talked about earth-related issues such as global warming, environmental hazards, ecotourism, and nature imbalance.[13] Also in New York, she attended a jewelry exhibit by Ramona Haar at the Philippine Consulate General, she modeled in the show Aurus organized by the Filipinos In the Arts in America, Inc., and graced a fund-raising drive by Samsung held at Time Warner Center.
Upon her return to India from New York in June 2011, Faria was chosen as the global Brand Ambassador of Frédérique Constant, a manufacturer of Swiss luxury wrist watches based in Plan-les-Ouates, Geneva. The announcement was made in Mumbai where the company presented to Faria a special Chocolate Double Heart Beat watch to commence the partnership with conservation and environmental projects of Faria in India.[14] She traveled on June 16, 2011 to Switzerland to attend the anniversary of Frédérique Constant, where she led the charity auction benefiting the International Children’s Heart Foundation and donated a total of US$75,000 to the foundation.[15]
She travelled 90 percent of the time during her reign and went to Vietnam, Australia, Dubai, South Africa, Philippines, Switzerland, New York, Thailand, and London where she experienced different cultures and met interesting people that she would have never had met otherwise.[16]
Currently, Faria is involved in a campaign to clean lakes of Bangalore, along with two U.S.-based nonprofits, Sherwood Institute and the United Way. "Bangalore used to have about 270 odd lakes [some 30 years ago]," she said in an interview. "Right now... we have about 81 existing lakes left." [17]
Faria won the Miss India Earth title at the Pantaloons Femina Miss India 2010 beauty pageant in Mumbai.[18] Pantaloons Femina Miss India is a national beauty pageant competition in India, which annually selects three winners to compete internationally. She won along with Manasvi Mamgai, who was crowned Femina Miss India World 2010, and Neha Hinge who got the Femina Miss India International 2010.[18][19][20][21] Faria was crowned by Miss India Earth 2009 Shriya Kishore.[22]
Faria represented India in the Miss Earth 2010 beauty pageant in Vietnam, and was crowned Miss Earth 2010.[23]
She won the Miss Talent, the first special award in the 10th Miss Earth pageant.[24] She performed a graceful belly dance that combined Oriental and Middle Eastern style in an event that raised VND100 million, which was donated to the HCM City Red Cross, to support flood victims in the central region of Vietnam.[25] She wore a shimmering white and gold outfit and defeated 84 other finalists.[26] She ended her reign by crowning her successor Olga Alava of Ecuador during the Miss Earth 2011 final's night held in Manila,Philippines on December 3, 2011.
Her father Ian Faria who hails from from goa is a motivational speaker and corporate trainer.Her Punjabi mother Anita works with the reputed beauty group VLCC.She did her schooling at Sophia High School in Bangalore.Her brother Craig is in real estate.Her grandmother runs an NGO called Premajyothi trust. She did her PUC from Christ College and BA from Mount Carmel College.[27][28][29]
